Cookie Policy

This is a starting template, not legal advice — have a Nigerian lawyer review it, alongside the Privacy Policy, before relying on it.

1. The Short Version

This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. It does not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar tool. The only thing this site itself stores in your browser is the choice you make on the cookie banner (see section 3), so we don't ask you again on every visit. The one exception is the Request Crew page, where Cloudflare Turnstile — a spam-prevention check, not tracking or advertising — may set its own cookies as part of confirming you're a person and not automated software; see section 4.

2. What's a Cookie, and What's Not

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, often used to remember you across visits or to track browsing activity for advertising. Bentley Offshore's own code does not set any cookies — the only exception is the third-party Cloudflare Turnstile check on the Request Crew page, described in section 4. Where this page refers to "storage" elsewhere, it means localStorage — a similar browser feature, but one that stays on your device, is never automatically sent to a server, and is not used here for tracking.

3. What We Actually Store

• Cookie banner choice — when you choose "Accept All" or "Necessary Only" on the banner, that choice (and the date) is saved in your browser's localStorage so the banner doesn't reappear every visit. Nothing is sent to Bentley Offshore or anyone else when you make this choice.

That is the complete list. No analytics identifiers, no advertising identifiers, no visit history are collected or stored.

4. Third-Party Services Used on This Site

A few pages load resources from other companies' servers to work properly. These are not cookies set by Bentley Offshore, but your browser does contact these third parties directly when you use the relevant feature:

• Google Fonts — the site's typefaces are loaded from Google's font servers (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) on every page view. This sends your browser's IP address and basic request information to Google as part of loading the font files. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• WhatsApp — the "Start a chat" link opens a conversation on WhatsApp (wa.me). Nothing is sent to WhatsApp until you click that link. See WhatsApp's Privacy Policy.
• Google Forms — "Join Our Crew" links to an external Google Form for crew registration, hosted on Google's servers, not this website. Information you submit there is governed by Google's Privacy Policy as well as our own Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — used only on the Request Crew page, to confirm a submission is from a person before it's sent to us. Loading it contacts Cloudflare's servers and may set its own cookies as part of that check. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

None of these currently set advertising or tracking cookies through their use on this site, to our knowledge — but they are outside Bentley Offshore's direct control, and each provider's own policy is the authoritative source on what they do.

5. If This Changes

If Bentley Offshore later adds analytics (for example, to understand how many people visit the site) or any other tool that sets cookies, this policy and the cookie banner will be updated first, and any such tool will only run after a visitor actively chooses "Accept All." Choosing "Necessary Only" will continue to mean exactly that.

6. Managing Your Choice

You can change your cookie banner choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page. You can also clear this site's stored data at any time through your browser's own settings (usually under Privacy / Site Data), which will make the banner reappear on your next visit.
